Hindolakhal is situated between Deoprayag and
Chandrabadni on an altitude of 1482 m with
Deoprayag being 20 km and Chandrabadni 15 km
away. There is a Narasimha-Dev Temple just about
100 m from the School on a hilltop.
Omkarananda Narasimha Dev Shishu Niketan is
located at the entrance of the village of Purana
Hindolakhal. It is in a long single storey
building on an elevated ground of 5 m alongside
the main road. 'Purana' Hindolakhal is the 'old'
Hindolakhal.
The School has been founded in 1998 and runs
Nursery Classes to Classes V. Children come to
School on foot from a radius of 2 km. Beside the
core curriculum, students are taught Garhwali
and Hindi songs and dances. The School also
organizes reading, writing and speech
competitions from time to time. In sports, the
students play Kabaddi, Kho-Kho and participate
in running competitions.
