Kumari Somashekhari receives
"National Award for Promotion of Art & Culture",
on 6th October 2023, in Film-City, Noida

Lighting of Deepas by Mahant Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati, President, Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, and other important Dignitaries, at the start of the Award Function, in the Marwah Studios, Film-City, Noida. The Award Function was the crowning conclusion of the 3rd and last day of the 9th Global Literary Festival 2023, in Noida.

In the front rows, sitting among the audience,
one can see some of the important National Awardees.

Kumari Somashekhari, Indian Classical Dancer and Musician and General Secretary of Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, receives her Certificate and the beautiful Trophy of the "National Award for Promotion of Art & Culture" from the hands of His Excellency, the Ambassador of Serbia (left) and Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Festival President (in the middle).

Kumari Somashekhari was invited to speak a few words on this occasion.

Guest of Honour, Mahant Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati, spoke about the importance of functions, which encourage Art and Culture. Swami ji also suggested, that during such Festivals the importance of our Vedic Culture and Spirituality should be highlighted, too.

Swami ji concluded his inspiring and lively speech with the exclamation: "Swami Omkarananda Maharaj ki Jay !!!", which was loudly and joyously echoed by the whole audience.

Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda ji was honoured with a beautiful Memento by His Excellency, the Ambassador of Serbia and Dr. Sandeep Marwah, the Festival President,
as their sign of Gratitude.
