Maha-Shivaratri Celebration
in Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas,

Mahant Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati, President, Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, and Kumari Somashekhari, General Secretary, Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, and Indian Classical Dancer and Musician, join the Arati in Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir, in the holy night of Maha-Shivaratri.

As her special Worship for Lord Shiva, the Cosmic Divine Dancer, Kumari Somashekhari performed Bharatanatyam Temple-Dances.

The grand conclusion of the cultural part of the Celebration of Maha-Shivaratri Celebration, in Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, was by His Holiness Mahant Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati, who blessed all Devotees with his divine speech. Swamiji narrated a heart touching story of a very devoted Shiva Bhakta, who was saved by Lord Shiva Himself from a deadly tragedy. His life was prolonged, because of his sincere Devotion to Lord Shiva. Taking this real story further, Swamiji explained, how beneficial and important it is, to always have a prayer on the lips and always think of the Divine and worship the Divine with all one's Concentration, Heart and Will. All the Devotees, present in the Temple, were deeply touched by Swami Vishveshwaranandaji's wonderful speech.

After Ashram Devotee, Shrimati Vandana Vaid (on the right), had gifted a beautiful Sari to Somashekhari, as an expression of admiration for her beautiful dance, Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati presented a lovely flower bouquet to Kumari Somashekhari.
