"Jeernodharana Rajata Bandhana Maha-Kumbhabhishekam"
in
Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas on

|

In the early morning of the 5th and Main
Day of the grand Maha-Kumbhabhishekam Celebration in Omkarananda
Ashram Himalayas, fresh Mango leaves, red flags, etc., were tied
at the divine, golden coloured Kalashas, which are permanently
fixed on the uppermost part of the Vimanam, above the different
Garbha Grihas, by Priest Ganapatheeswaran, Priest Chithambaresan
and other Priests.

All are carrying
important Hawana Samagri for the 6th and final Kala Yajna Shala
Hawana.

Shri Swami Satchidananda Saraswati hands
over the Hawana Dravyam, to be offered into Agni Devata.

Purnahuti.

The noble Priests, coming from the
Yajnashala place, enter the Garbha Griha, the Sanctum Sanctorum,
of Shri Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi, to perform different important
Pujas for Prana-Pratishtha.

Before going back to the Yajnashala area,
the hardworking Priests are standing at the entrance of the
Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir.

Shortly before the Main Purnahuti of this
grand Celebration took place, a smiling Priest requests Shri Swami
Vishveshwarananda, Shri Swami Satchidananda and Kumari
Somashekhari to bless a beautiful Sari, which will be offered to
the Divine Mother through the Medium of Agni Devata.

 |
The soft, purely Vegan Sari, was
offered slowly and with deep devotion, during
Maha-Purnahuti, to Shri Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi.
|
Immediately after that, the Supreme
Divine Mother received a beautiful fresh Mala.
|

In the meantime, important Swamijis, who
are closely associated with Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, joined
this holy Celebration. They are happily welcomed by Mahant Shri
Swami Vishveshwarananda and Shri Swami Satchidananda.

Mahamandaleshwar Shri 1008 Swami Vishnu
Chaitanya Teerthji Maharaj is blessing the 3 months old, cute Baby
Narayana, which is held in the arms of his grandmother, Shrimati
Vandana Vaid.

Procession around the Temple and the
Yajnashala place with the holy Kalashas ready for the
Maha-Kumbhabhishekam for Shri Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi and other
Devatas.

The participants of the holy Procession
have finally arrived at the place, from where they have to climb
up to the Temple roof.

First a Priest is garlanding the golden
coloured Kalasha on the Vimanam, above the Garbha Griha of Divine
Mother Shri Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi.

The Swamis are standing on the Temple roof,
waiting for the Maha-Kumbhabhishekam.

The most auspicious moment of the
Maha-Kumbhabhishekam has arrived: Holy waters are poured on the
Kalasha, fixed on the top of the Vimanam, above the Garbha Griha
of Shri Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi.

Simultaneously the Maha-Kumbhabhishekam is
performed for other Deities in Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas.

The Devotees, on
the Temple roof, are blessed with the holy water.

From left to right: Shri Bakul Rajput, a
very dedicated, new Member of Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, Shri

in the Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir.

The Main Participants in this holy Function
have received divine Kalashas, which they carry carefully in a
Procession.

After the Procession, Mahant Shri Swami
Vishveshwarananda Saraswati blessed everybody with a fiery, divine
speech, which had a very deep impact on all.

Swamiji's words of
Wisdom touched the hearts of each and every one.

In the afternoon a wonderful Puja with 108
white Shankhas (conches) was performed near the entrance to the
Garbha Griha of Shri Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi.

Evening Arati in
Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir.

Dr. Anupam Vaid, an important Trustee of
Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, welcomed all in the Mandapa of the
Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir and announced, that Kumari
Somashekhari will perform special Bharatanatyam Temple-Dances as
an integral part of the Jeernodharana Rajata Bandha
Maha-Kumbhabhishekam.

Kumari Somashekhari, General Secretary,
Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas and Indian Classical Dancer and
Musician, who got the titles "Kala-Nidhi" and "Guru-Bhakti-Ratna"
from her adorable Sadgurudev Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda
Saraswati, explains in short the meaning of the Bharatanatyam
Temple-Dances, which she is going to perform.

Kumari Somashekhari started with a powerful
Devi-Dance, "Trimata Kauthuvam", in which Maha-Saraswati,
Maha-Lakshmi and Parvati Parameshwari are worshipped. The divine
qualities of these three Divine Mothers are combined in
Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi.

Kumari Somashekhari concluded her
Temple-Dance Worship with a beautiful, ancient Tamil song,
composed by Thirugnana Sambandar, dedicated to Lord Shiva. The
South Indian Temple Priests were very much touched, that Kumari
Somashekhari had adopted and presented in a very pure, divine and
ideal way the true, ancient tradition of the South Indian Temples.
