Vasant-Navaratri Celebrations in
Omkarananda-Shanta-Durga Mandir, from 2nd April to 11th April
2022

Vasant Navaratri, the Festival Days for
Divine Mother Durga Devi, in the spring season, started on 2nd
April 2022. For this holy event the Priests of Omkarananda Ashram
Himalayas had decorated a nice Altar in the Yajnashala of
Omkarananda-Shanta-Durga Mandir.

Every morning special Recitations and Pujas
were conducted by the Priests in this sacred place. Here one can
see Shri Swami Satchidananda Saraswati, Treasurer Omkarananda
Ashram Himalayas, joining the Pujas with Arati.

Another Arati is performed by Shri Swami
Satchidananda for the Divine Mother.

After that, the Arati Stand was placed
carefully between the Hawana Kunda and the photo of Sadgurudev
Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati.

Devi by Shri Swami Satchidananda.

Mahant Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda
Saraswati, President Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, also took
actively part in the Navaratri Celebrations in Omkarananda Ashram
Himalayas.

Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda offers Arati
to Sadgurudev Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati and to Durga
Maa.

Here one can see the sweetly smiling,
peaceful and blessing Utsava Murti of Shri
Omkarananda-Shanta-Durga Devi, on the concluding day of
Vasant-Navaratri, Vijaya-Dashami, 11th April 2022. The seeds of
Jau (barley), which had been sown into two earthen vessels, filled
with holy Ganges sand, and put at the feet of the Divine Mother,
at the beginning of Navaratri, have grown now into a beautiful,
soft, green grass.

Priests of Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas,
under the guidance of Chief-Priest Shri Suresh Panditji, performed
a very powerful Yajna on Vijaya-Dashami.

Mahant Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda
Saraswati and Kumari Somashekhari also joined this powerful Yajna
and - along with Mantra-Repetition - offered different wonderful
herbs, dry fruits, lotus seeds, sugarcane-pieces and other
precious ingredients into Agni-Devata, for the Divine Mother.

After Purnahuti Kumari Somashekhari did
some Puja with the auspicious Jau grass, which had grown at the
feet of the Divine Mother during Navaratri, and then she cut it
for distribution as Prasadam and Navaratri Blessings.

Shri Mukesh Panditji gives the Navaratri
Blessings of Shri Omkarananda-Shanta-Durga Devi to the three
direct Sannyasi Disciples of Sadgurudev Shri Paramahamsa
Omkarananda Saraswati. From left to right: Shri Swami
