Inauguration of a new Schoolbus for the Omkarananda Hill-School, Swami Omkarananda Alaknanda Educational Academy, Srikot, Ganganali, Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, on 27th June 2022

The Swami Omkarananda Alaknanda Educational Academy, Srikot, Ganganali, Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, is one of the 40 Omkarananda Hill Schools, which are mostly situated in the interior areas of the Garhwal Himalayas. The Principal and School-Management Members of this School (Nursery to Class 10), had requested the President of Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, Mahant Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati, to financially sponsor a new Bus for the School-Students. Swamiji, in his kindness and generosity, had agreed to do the same. Before the newly purchased School Bus went to the far away Srikot, it was first brought to the Headquarters of Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas and parked in front of the Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Temple, so that the Omkarananda Ashram Priests could make proper Puja for it.

Such a Puja for the School Bus is important and essential for protection from accidents.

The Puja was performed by Shri Sanjay Panditji, Shri Suresh Panditji and Shri Mukesh Panditji and attended by Shri Swami Satchidananda, Treasurer Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, Shri Agnihotri, Omkarananda Hill School Inspector, and some Teachers and Principal of the Swami Omkarananda Alaknanda Educational Academy, Srikot, Pauri Garhwal.
