Guru-Purnima Celebration in Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas,
on 13th July 2022

The east side view of the beautiful Sarvadevata Mandir, in the Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas' Headquarters, on Guru-Purnima, 13th July 2022. One can see here a big photo of Sadgurudev Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati on the wall and a smaller photo of Him on an Altar, on which His Silver Padukas are permanently placed for worship. The full view of this Temple with Murtis of Meenakshi Devi, Shri Sundareshwara (Lord Shiva), Lord Ganapati and other Murtis, cannot be shown on the photo, because those Murtis are Pranapratishtha Murtis, i.e., life has been given to them by special holy Rituals and so - according to the strict South Indian Temple rules - photos and videos should not be taken of them.

The Silver Padukas of Sadgurudev Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati.

Omkarananda Ashram Priest, Shri Sanjay Panditji, who is also an initiated Shri Vidya Priest, conducts special Prayers and Pujas in front of Gurudev's Altar with His Photo and Silver Padukas, on 13th July 2022, Guru-Purnima.

All the three direct Sannyasi Disciples of Sadgurudev Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati, namely Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda, Kumari Somashekhari and Shri Swami Satchidananda, are also taking part in the Guru-Purnima Celebration.

Shri Sanjay Panditji has taken Gurudev's Silver Padukas from the Asana (holy seat) and put them into a Puja Plate for performing Abhisheka for them with different ingredients, like pure cow's milk, honey, curd, ghee and other ingredients. Two more Priests accompany the Abhisheka with chanting of Prayers, but they are not visible in this photo.

Here one can see Sanjay Panditji, pouring holy Ganga Jal on Gurudev's Padukas through a beautiful white Shankha (conch shell).

After the Abhisheka was completed, the Silver Padukas were cleaned and dried. Before putting them back on the Altar, the Priest placed the holy Padukas on the head of the three direct Sannyasi Disciples of Gurudev, seen on this photo, so that they may receive abundant Divine Blessings from their beloved Sadgurudev Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati. Here one can see Mahant Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati, who was appointed by Paramahamsa Omkarananda Himself as His Successor, holding His beloved Sadgurudev's Padukas on his head, while intensively meditating on Him.

The holy Padukas of Swami Omkarananda had been put back on the Altar. Here one can see Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda and Kumari Somashekhari offering rose-petals to Gurudev's Padukas, while all are chanting the 108 holy Names of Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati, the "Shri Sadguru Omkarananda-Ashtottara-Shata-Namavali", as well as Sadgurudev Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda's Gayatri Mantras, along with the appropriate Bija-Mantras.

The Guru-Puja completed with the beautiful Omkarananda Arati, performed by Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda, Shri Swami Satchidananda and Kumari Somashekhari.
