As usual the Omkarananda Jayanti Celebration started in the early morning with
Sundarkand Path in front of the nicely decorated Omkarananda-Hanuman Mandir,
which is situated in the Headquarters of Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas,
along with many other lovely Temples.

The beautiful Sundarkand Recitation is in full swing.

Inside the Shrine of Omkarananda-Hanuman Mandir, from left to right:
Gurudev Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati, the smiling and
blessing Omkarananda-Hanuman and Lord Krishna along with Radha.

The Chiefpriest of Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, Shri Suresh Panditji,
performs Arati inside the Shrine.

After the Sundarkand Path a wonderful cultural programme in Honour of
Sadgurudev Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati took place in the
small Auditorium Omkarananda Vidya Bhawan. Keeping in view the safety of all,
only a limited number of devotees and guests had been invited this time.

The programme started with the auspicious lighting of Deepas in front of
Gurudev Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati by four Dignitaries.

Shri Swami Paramananda, the Master of Ceremonies,
is briefing the audience regarding the further programme.

A few students of Omkarananda Gayatri Ved Vidyalala, the beautiful Gurukul of
Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, situated at the Ganga, are reciting Vedic Mantras
for the benefit and welfare of All.

Shri Swami Sundara Chaitanya, General Secretary Karttikeya Ashram Rishikesh,
is rewarding the Vedic Students with nice gifts for their excellent, accurate and perfect Recitation.

A graceful and splendid dance-performance by Kumari Somashekhari
makes the audience spellbound.

The popular Folk-Singer, Shri Ramesh Uniyal, presented a new Garhwali Song
in praise of Gurudev Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati, composed by him.
His song was widely appreciated.

The Principal of Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam Inter-College (OSN),
Shri Rajiv Singh Rautela, personally rewarded Ramesh Uniyal for his contribution.

The General Secretary of Karttikeya Ashram, Rishikesh, Shri Swami Sundara Chaitanya,
a great Vedic Scholar and Kathaavaachak Aachaarya, was highly appreciating
all the wonderful and selfless works of Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati -
specially in the field of Education, Culture and Spirituality -
which are vibrating all over the Devbhumi Garhwal.

Shri I. D. Joshi, one of the most known and revered Senior Educationists of Rishikesh
and President of OSN Management Committee, gave a very natural and heart-touching speech,
in which he focused on Gurudev Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati and His Main-Disciples,
Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati, Kumari Somashekhari and
Shri Swami Satchidananda Saraswati.

To the great joy and surprise of everybody present, Dr. Harish Dhingra,
President Varishth Nagarik Kalyan Sangathan (Senior Citizen Welfare Organization), Rishikesh,
and the General Secretary of this Institution, Shri S. P. Agarwal, honoured Mahant
Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati with the prestigious
"LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD", on his holy occasion.

Kumari Somashekhari and Shri Swami Satchidananda Saraswati were honoured
with nice shawls by the President, General Secretary and Treasurer, Shri Baburam Agrawal,
and by Shri I. D. Joshi, Member and Chief Editor of the
Senior Citizen Welfare Organization, Rishikesh.

Guru-Bhakti-Ratna Kumari Somashekhari performed the
Omkarananda Arati Dance in Honour of Gurudev.

A lovely Devotee from Tamil Nadu, Shrimati Radha Amrithalingam,
presents a Sari to Kumari Somashekhari for her dance-performances.

In his Vote of Thanks, Mahant Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati,
President Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas and appointed Successor of
Gurudev Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati, praised all active Participants
in this holy Celebration for their contribution. He specially emphasized the importance of Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati, to Whom all the credit for the wonderful works,
done through Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, finally goes.

The cultural part of the Omkarananda Jayanti Celebration concluded with
the Omkarananda Arati, performed for Gurudev by Chief Priest Suresh Panditji,
Kumari Somashekhari and Swami Vishveshwarananda.
