Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda and Kumari Somashekhari are lighting Deepas in front of Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati, the Founder of Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam.

Kumari Somashekhari is presenting Awards for Academic Excellence to the best students
of the lower classes. Next to Somashekhari is Mrs. Nalini Sharma, a Senior Teacher of OSN.

Members of the OSN Management Committee, Shri M. S. Negi and Shri R.S. Rawat,
are awarding the best OSN students of Class 7.

Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati is giving Prizes and Awards
to outstanding OSN Students of Class 9. Next to Swamiji is Usha Mataji,
Vice-President OSN Management Committee.

A bright and smiling OSN Student of Class 11, receives his Award for
Academic Excellence from the Honourable Chief Guest, Shri Pankaj Kumar Upreti,
while Mrs. Archana Gairola, Vice-Principal OSN, looks on.

Mr. Upreti addressed the students, teachers and parents. In his lecture he congratulated
all the students for their hard work in respect to their studies, which finally brought them
great results and success. He also thanked the parents, who had definitely contributed
to the good results of their children. TV, Multi-media, etc. are factors, which should be
avoided in the lives of the students, because they could divert the attention of
the students away from their studies towards wrong and harmful directions, he added.

All the successful OSN students, their teachers, parents, and the honourable guests
listened attentively to the speech of the Chief Guest.

Honourable OSN Principal, Mr. Debasis Das, thanked the Education Officer,
Shri Pankaj Kumar Upreti, for accepting the invitation to this Function. He further assured
everybody to make improvements for the School, wherever possible. With the help and
coordination of the teachers and parents, the educational progress
of the students can be facilitated, the Principal remarked.
