Ashtabandhana Maha Kumbha-Abhishekam for Arulmigu Devi Muthu
Mariamman Temple, New Delhi, on 7th & 8th July 2019

Saraswati, President Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, had been
specially received with the traditional Purna-Kumbha at the
Temple-Entrance, and then he was guided with full Honour and
Respect, in a colourful Procession, by the Chief-Priest of
Malai Mandir (Delhi), Dr. Vaidyanathan Sivacharyar and other South
Indian Priests, led by Temple-Musicians, through the Mandapa
(Temple-Hall), towards the Shrines, for Darshan of Arulmigu
Devi Muthu Mariamman.
On the way, the Chief-Priest, Dr.
Vaidyanathan, explained to Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda and
Kumari Somashekhari the ongoing Celebrations.
Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati was
given a special seat of Honour in a huge open area, next to
the Devi Temple, where a lot of Devotees had assembled.
Many Devotees approached Swami
Vishveshwarananda for his Blessings.
Several Yajnas were going on
simultaneously.
Arati for Arulmigu Devi Muthu Mariamman.
A huge crowd of Devotees, mainly South
Indians, attended this holy function.
Swami Vishveshwarananda was called to
address the Devotees on this special occasion.
Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati was
inspiring all the Priests and Devotees with his wonderful,
divine and dynamic speech, which was translated by Kumari
Somashekhari.
The South Indian Priests are ready for the
Purnahuti.
Preparations for the final Purnahuti, in
the morning of 8th July 2019.
A Priest is offering special Prayers at the
Altar of Arulmigu Devi Muthu Mariamman.
Kumari Somashekhari is singing an ancient
devotional Song in the Tamil Language, while the Priests get
ready for the Kalasha-Yatra.
The crowd of Devotees is eagerly waiting to
witness the great event.
The Priests, carrying Kalashas with holy
water, have climbed to the Top of the Temple.
Chief-Priest, Dr. Vaidyanathan
Sivachariyar, performs the auspicious Maha Kumbha-Abhishekam,
among chanting of Vedic Hymns and Mantras.
