Navaratri Celebrations
in Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir,
 from 21st to 30th September 2017

This beautifully decorated Altar, with the lovely Murti of Shri Omkarananda-Shanta-Durga
in the middle, was specially established for the holy Navaratri time in the Yajna-Shala
of Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir.

Daily additional Yajnas were conducted for universal Peace and Prosperity.

The evening of Durga Ashtami, on the 28th September 2017, was vibrating with many
different devotional dance items by Kumari Somashekhari. Shri Sukumarji (seen on the photo),
who was the Master of Ceremony, explained in detail the meaning of each dance item.

The Temple-Dance items with the intricate Mudras (Hand-gestures) and Dance-movements,
performed by Soma, demonstrated her long practise and experience in the Divine Art
of Indian Classical Dance and filled the hearts of the audience with joy.

The Navaratri Celebration in Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, was concluded on
Vijaya Dashami, on 30th September 2017, with a very powerful Yajna and Kanya Puja.

Before the great moment for the 9 Kanyas is coming, Somaji is blessing
all the beautiful gifts, which the children will receive.

After performing special Pujas for each and every child, and giving them very useful gifts,
Kumari Somashekhari is offering prayers and flowers for their well-being and good future.
