Guru-Purnima Celebrations
in Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas,
on 9th July 2017

The Altar of Sadgurudev Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati is ready
for worship in the Sarvadevata Shrine of Omkarananda-Shanta-Durga Mandir.

Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati and Kumari Somashekhari
are performing Abhisheka for the holy Silver-Padukas of their Gurudev
Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati, assisted by Priests of Omkarananda Ashram.

Shri Swami Satchidananda Saraswati performs the Omkarananda-Arati.

In the evening, in Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir, a special Function took place
to celebrate Guru-Purnima. Here one can see everybody standing in front of the Shrine
of Gurudev Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati, during the special Omkarananda Arati.
From front to back: Brahmacharini-disciples of Shri Swami Shankara Tilakananda,
Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati, President Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas,
and students of the Omkarananda Gayatri Ved Vidyalaya.

After that followed the special Arati for Shri Omkarananda-Kamakshi Devi.

Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda welcomed all the Dignitaries for this special occasion,
with Bharatanatyam Temple-Dance performances by Kumari Somashekhari.
The meaning and the spiritual effect of all the dance-items were being read out
and explained by Swami Vishveshwarananda.

The outstanding perfection and excellent details in these highly spiritual performances
by Kumari Somashekhari have clearly shown her tremendous dedication for this glorious Art.

After the recitation of the Totaka-Ashtakam and the Dakshinamurti Stotram
in Honour of the Sad-Guru, the students of Omkarananda Gayatri Ved Vidyalaya
are singing Bhajans along with the Priests of Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir.

In his speech, the Honourable Chief-Guest, Shri Nagabhushan,
highlighted the activities of the Sannyasis of Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas.
