Mandir in
Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, on 8th & 9th March 2017

Kumari Somashekhari, General Secretary
Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, is proceeding with Priests from
Tamil Nadu towards the Omkara-Mahaganapati Temple to invoke
the Blessings of Lord Ganesha for an auspicious start of the
Inauguration of Omkarananda-Dakshinamurti Mandir.

Prayers in front of Lord
Omkara-Mahaganapati.

As part of the initial Prayers a
Pradakshina around Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir takes
place.

Final permission and Blessings for the new
Temple are being taken from Gurudev Paramahamsa Omkarananda
Saraswati.

The Chief-Priest is preparing for Sankalpa.

The shining Omkarananda-Dakshinamurti has
been placed under a Neem-tree for Abhisheka, before He will be
installed in His Temple.

All important items for Abhisheka for
Omkarananda-Dakshinamurti are ready. In the background, on the
right side, partly hidden by a provisional tent, one can
faintly see the small, colourful Temple under the Banyan Tree,
which is going to be the permanent Residence of Shri
Omkarananda-Dakshinamurti.

The Abhisheka for Omkarananda-Dakshinamurti
is going on in high spirit with holy ingredients like
Gangajal, Cow's Milk, Curd, Honey, Haldi, etc.

In an excellent rhythmic way the students
of Omkarananda Gayatri Ved Vidyalaya are reciting Shlokas as a
part of a successful inauguration of the Omkarananda-Dakshinamurti
Temple. On the side one can see the Principal of the students,
Shri Shivkumar Malviya, along with Swami Vishveshwarananda and
Kumari Somashekhari.

Near the new Temple for Shri
Omkarananda-Dakshinamurti, which is situated below a Banyan
Tree, a powerful Yajna has started, conducted by Priests from
Tamil Nadu and the Priests of Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi
Mandir. A provisional cloth-tent is covering the new Temple,
the Puja-places, the Hawana-Kunda and parts of the Banyan Tree
from above and all four sides, to give protection from rain and
naughty monkeys.

Purnahuti by the Chief-Priest

From left to right: Swami Satchidananda,
Swami Vishveshwarananda and Kumari Somashekhari receive the
holy Prasadam.

Among the important moments of the
Temple-Inauguration was the arrival of a holy cow along with
her calf. Puja was made with them in the traditional manner.

Finally the gold-plated Kalasha was fixed
on the top of the Temple by the skill-full hands of Swami
Satchidananda.

Shrimati Usha Venkataraman from Kanchipuram
and Shrimati Sukanya from Chennai were contributing to the
Pujas with beautiful divine songs in Sanskrit and Tamil about
the Glory of Lord Shiva and Shri Dakshinamurti.

In the night of 8th March 2017 the
beautiful Omkarananda-Dakshinamurti was carefully carried into His
lovely Temple and placed on His Pedestal, facing exactly the
proper Direction.

In the morning of 9th April 2017, a
Thursday, the Main-Day of the Inauguration of the
Omkarananda-Dakshinamurti Temple, powerful Yajnas were conducted
by the Priests from Tamil Nadu and the Priests from
Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir.

Before Purnahuti was offered, Shri Swami
Vishveshwarananda, with a radiant smile, blesses and garlands
the Chief Priest.

Purnahuti.

After the Purnahuti, different Shlokas from
all the 4 Vedas are recited by the South-Indian Priests as well
as the students of Omkarananda Gayatri Ved Vidyalaya.

Shri Swami Satchidananda carries the holy
Kalasha and then climbs up the Gopuram for Abhisheka of the
gold-plated Kalasha on the top of the Temple.

After the final Maha-Kumbha-Abhisheka for
the new Omkarananda-Dakshinamurti Temple was successfully
completed, the Chief-Priest from Tamil Nadu offers Prasadam to
Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda, Shri Swami Satchidananda and Kumari
Somashekhari.

Kumari Somashekhari thanks all the students
of Omkarananda Gayatri Ved Vidyalaya for their hour long
brilliant Vedic Recitations. She invites them to enjoy a
wonderful Prasadam in the form of lunch in the Ashram and then
take some rest before the evening Pujas will continue.

Before proceeding for lunch, all the
students requested Soma to show them her Temple-Dance-Room and
other holy places inside the building of Omkarananda-Shanta-Durga
Mandir. When all of them had arrived inside, Kumari Somashekhari
explained to the bright students of Omkarananda Gayatri Ved
Vidyalaya, that Her Adorable Gurudev, Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda
Saraswati is not an ordinary Saint, but a great Mystic, Sage,
Siddhapurusha, Philosopher and Writer, and a Sampurna Avatara (a
completely perfect God-Incarnation in all respects). She further
narrated to the students, that Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati
did most extraordinary Tapasya as a very young Sannyasi nearby
this place, in the jungle. Soma also told to the students about
her own experiences with Gurudev Swami Omkarananda and explained
to them about His indescribable divine and selfless Love and
Purity and Superhuman Intelligence. She further described to the
students, how one day Parvati Parameshwari, Shri Meenakshi Devi,
appeared to Swami Omkarananda in the jungle, nearby, and never
again left Him, which resulted in His permanent spiritual Union
with the Supreme Divine Mother, a State called "Para-Bhakti".
Kumari Somashekhari narrated to the young students, that one could
strongly feel, see and experience the overwhelming divine Power
and the superhuman ecstatic divine Love in the brilliant, shining
Eyes of Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati and His whole Life and
Behaviour. In the end of her talk Somashekhari also told to the
students, why Meenakshi Devi is holding a parrot. She explained to
them, that the Parrot is the symbol of the Wisdom of the holy
Vedas, who are in the Hands of the Divine Mother, which means,
they have originated from Her.

Before leaving this specially holy place,
all the students are taking Blessings from Paramahamsa
Omkarananda Saraswati.

In the late evening of 9th April 2017, the
Main Day of the Inauguration of the Omkarananda-Dakshinamurti
Mandir, a special Bharatanatyam Temple-Dance Performance took
place as a part of the holy Pujas. Here one can see Kumari
Somashekhari arriving at the Temple, followed by her Assistant
Seema.

Somashekhari performed several
Bharatanatyam Temple-Dances at the beautiful new
Omkarananda-Dakshinamurti Mandir, situated below a holy Banyan
Tree.

During Kumari Somashekhari's Temple-Dance
Performance soft thunder and lightning started, heralding the
arrival of rain.

Soma completed her Temple-Dance Performance
with the Omkarananda-Arati Dance.

Kumari Somashekhari can be seen at the
Omkarananda-Dakshinamurti Temple, carrying the Arati. All forms of
Lord Dakshinamurti, including our Omkarananda-Dakshinamurti, are
residing below a Banyan Tree, called in Sanskrit "Vata Vriksha".
This extraordinary and holy Tree is the National Tree of India. It
is often regarded and worshipped as "Kalpa Vriksha", the "Wish-fulfilling Tree". Besides containing deep mystical meanings,
this Tree is also having a lot of important medicinal properties.
Because it's life-span, compared to other trees, is usually
extremely long, and because in many cases it is even impossible to
determine it's age, this Tree is called "Immortal Tree". It is the
most befitting Tree for Lord Omkarananda-Dakshinamurti, the form
of the spiritual Guru.

In his usual kind, encouraging and
joyous way Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati, President
Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas and Successor of Gurudev H. D.
Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati, blessed and thanked each and
everybody , for contributing to the grand Success of the
Inauguration of Omkarananda-Dakshinamurti Mandir.

One can clearly see, that all people in the
audience, including the Priests, are extremely happy and
touched by Swami Vishveshwaranandaji's divine and inspiring words.

Finally Swamiji honoured all the Priests
with Dakshina.

The wonderful Inauguration of the
Omkarananda-Dakshinamurti Temple was completed by the melodious
"Dakshinamurti Stotram", a composition by Shri Adi Shankaracharya,
chanted very beautifully by all the students of Omkarananda
Gayatri Ved Vidyalaya. The three direct Sannyasi-Disciples of
Gurudev H.D. Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati, Swami
Vishveshwarananda, Swami Satchidananda and Kumari Somashekhari,
are standing in front of the students and listen to them with
hearts, filled with deep joy.
