Special Pujas, Hawanas and Abhisheka in
Mahakala-Bhairava Mandir, conducted in
Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, Muni-ki-Reti, Rishikesh,
on 4th and 5th February 2014

In the night of 4th February 2014 a special Puja was started at a nicely decorated Altar with photos of Gurudev Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati, Sant Shri Prabhuji, an Utsava Murti of Mahakala-Bhairava, Lord Ganesha, silver-masks of Yogeshwara and Yogeshwari and Kalashas.

After the Puja a wonderful Hawana in front of the holy Shrine of Lord Mahakala-Bhairava was conducted.

This special Hawana continued in the morning of 5th February 2014 in a grand manner.

The beautiful Mahakala-Bhairava Mandir is situated on the holy land of Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, on a hillock, from where one has a breathtakingly beautiful view over the Headquarters of Omkarananda Ashram and its surrounding colourful Temples, the Himalayan foothills, as well as the holy river Ganga, flowing through the valley below.

Before the Kalashas with the holy water are taken inside the Shrine for Abhisheka to Lord Mahakala-Bhairava, they are being finally blessed by the Priest. Two devotees, Mr. Dhirajlal Vora and Mrs. Kusumlata Vora, who had come all the way from Ontario, Canada, also took part in this wonderful event.
