The Celebrations in Gayatri Tapobhoomi
Ashram started with grand cultural programmes by eminent
Indian Classical Musicians and Dancers. The whole Ashram
area resounded with the soulful Flute Recital of the
famous Artist Pandit Praveen Godkhindi.
In the night Guru-Bhakti-Ratna Kumari
Somashekhari from Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, Rishikesh,
took the stage and delighted the audience with the
performance of pure Bharatanatyam Temple-Dances.
Kumari Somashekhari explained the
meaning of her dances and expressed her joy in a few words
in Kannada, the language of Karnataka.
Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda
Saraswati, had been requested by the Organizers to honour
Kumari Somashekhari with a flower mala for her
dance-performance.
Mahatmas on the dais addressed the
audience.
Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda
Saraswati, President, Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas,
Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, inspired each and everybody with
his powerful, divine speech.
Devotees of Gayatri Tapobhoomi Ashram
are listening spellbound.
Shri Swami Balakrishnananda Saraswati,
President Gayatri Tapobhoomi Ashram, Hubli, Karnataka, is
educating the devotees about the importance of
Gayatri-Worship and the repetition of the Gayatri Mantra.
Kumari Somashekhari had been
spontaneously requested by the Organizers to present
devotional dances on the second night of the Celebrations,
too.
While dancing Kumari Somashekhari
shows the Divine Mother, holding the parrot. This holy
bird is a symbol of the sacred Wisdom of the Vedas.
Kumari Somashekhari is surrounded by
cute little girls, who had performed Bharatanatyam on this
occasion.
After the grand Abhisheka for Gayatri
Devi, all devotees watch the final Pujas and Hawanas.
Dr. Vidya-Abhinava Vidyaranya Bharati,
Shankaracharya of Koodali Shringeri Mahasamsthana,
addresses the devotees.
At the conclusion of the wonderful
Celebrations Shri Swami Balakrishnananda Saraswati offers
to Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati a shawl with a
lot of love and affection.
