The students of Omkarananda Gayatri
Ved Vidyalaya, beautifully dressed, get ready for the
concluding Function of Omkarananda Mahotsava, starting
in the afternoon of the 1st January 2015.

Standing next to Gurudev Paramahamsa
Omkarananda Saraswati Kumari Somashekhari shows to the
students a typical Vedic Mudra, "Meenakshi Devi,
holding the parrot", while the Priests start
lighting the Deepas.

Kumari Somashekhari behind the
students, showing again the same Mudra of Meenakshi Devi
holding the parrot. The holy bird parrot symbolizes the
Vedas. The divine Wisdom of the Vedas is in the hands of
the Divine Mother, i.e. It originates from Her.

Swami Vishveshwarananda interacts with
the special guests, the wonderful Educationists from
Rishikesh, Prof. Dr. S.L. Singhji, Shri D.K. Varshneyji
and Shri I.D. Joshiji.

The students and the special guests
are watching the great Yajna in front of the holy
river Ganga on the beautifully erected platform.

A wonderful Yajna to honour Gurudev
Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati.

The audience is listening to the
recitation at the end of the Yajna.

Kumari Somashekhari, as a Tribute to
her Gurudev Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati and for the
students of Omkarananda Gayatri Ved Vidyalaya and the
audience, gives a nice performance in the traditional
Temple-Style of Indian Classical Dance.

Swami Vishveshwarananda inspires and
encourages the students and praises them for their
hard work in the field of the Vedas.

The students carefully listen to the
special blessings given by Kumari Somashekhari.

Swami Vishveshwarananda speaks to the
students on the importance of the holy river Ganga and
the golden opportunity given to everybody, who lives near
this holy river. Kumari Somashekhari is translating it
into their language.

The Principal Shri Shiva Kumar
Maalviya offers a shawl to Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda
and speaks to the students about the wonderful work, done
by Swami Vishveshwarananda and the other Swamis of
Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, and their grand support in
providing everything, that was necessary for a smooth
living of the students.

Everybody proceeds to the holy river
Ganga.

Swami Vishveshwarananda, Kumari
Somashekhari, the Priests and students are offering
flowers to the Ganga during ecstatic chanting by the
students of Omkarananda Gayatri Ved Vidyalaya.

Swami Vishveshwarananda and Kumari
