On November 19th 2009, Omkarananda Institute of Management & Technology celebrated Annual Sports Day.
The event began with lighting a lamp and floral offering at Swami Omkarananda's feet, by Director Prof. Dr. Rekha Aggarwala, followed by Dean Mr. Bijalwan, Principal Mr. Kapoor and Vice-Principal Mr. Chauhan. A colorful canopy was erected for the ceremony with seating arrangements for the faculty and staff.

Students of MBA first year were judged winners and MBA third won the runners trophy. Participants were from MBA, BBA and BCA and a cheerful crowd of fellow students kept the respective teams in high spirits.

The names of the winners are Captain Shailendra Sainwal, Amit Singh Lingwal, Sachin Kumar Singh, Manoj Uniyal, Mohit Saraswat, Brij Mohan Rana.

The sports day activities included a short ceremony felicitating and giving of token gifts to the winning team and accompanying faculty members, Dr. D.S. Chaubey and Prof. Subramanian at the Manfest 2009, Dehradun. The Director starting the games open, briefly mentioned that sports are essential for an overall physical, mental and individual development. Senior faculty members also spoke at the occasion.

All in all, the day went smoothly and everyone enjoyed the beautiful November weather. Students were served refreshments during and after the event.
