Shri
Kalabhairava Ashtami Celebrations
in Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, on 9th
November 2009
Lord Mahakala-Bhairava was presenting Himself
in the most beautiful form. It was truly His day. Nicely decorated
with flowers, surrounded with fragrant incense and with ringing of
the bells, a great Puja in His honour started. Special guests on
this occasion were Mr. Deepak Randhive and his two friends, who
specially came from Mumbai, to be part of this holy occasion.
Suresh Panditji, the Chief Priest of
Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir, and his team of priests
performed with all the people present a wonderful Puja and
Abhisheka for Lord Mahakala-Bhairava. After hour long prayers,
finally Arati was performed and Prasadam distributed.
In the evening the second part of the function
took place with a powerful Yagna. The entire temple-area was
shining with different coloured lights and the atmosphere was so
sparkling that everybody who attended this Yagna was touched by
the holy vibrations which were emanating from the powerful Yagna
in front of Lord Mahakala-Bhairava. In the background the
beautiful Shri Kalabhairava Stuti was played continuously through
loudspeakers, which made the entire Yagna ceremony an
unforgettable experience.
