On this day the whole evening Ganga-Arati, with ten or more big Deepas, several small Deepas, etc. at Triveni Ghat, Rishikesh, was exclusively done to honour Paramahamsa Shri Swami Omkarananda by all the Ganga Samiti Priests, along with Swami Vishveshwarananda, Kumari Somashekhari and others, who performed the special Arati. There was a huge crowd, watching this special Ganga-Arati, and in great silence, the holy river Ganga must have been joyously experiencing the beauty and the holy prayers of this Arati. In loudspeakers it was several times announced, that the entire Triveni Ghat Ganga-Arati is done for the great Omkarananda Mahotsava, specially for Omkarananda Jayanti in honour of Swami Omkarananda.

Everybody invited there, could also perform the Arati. Special guest on this evening was Shri Shantilal Patel, who had come from Switzerland.

In the end Swami Vishveshwarananda and Kumari Somashekhari offered beautiful flower bouquets, with a shining Deepa and fragrant incense on it, to the holy river Ganga, along with deep prayers.

Everybody felt a wonderful, deeply spiritual and elevating experience during this event.
