Stood First in an
Inter-School Dance Competition,
on 5th December 2009

Maa Anandmayee Memorial School (MAMS), Raiwala,
had organized an Inter-School Folk Dance Competition, on 5th
December 2009 in its school premises.
It was a well organized lively event with teams
from 12 schools of Rishikesh, Raiwala and Bhaniyawala
participating in it.
The presentations brought out a variety of
Indian folk dances, including a Rajasthani folk dance by Rishikesh
Public School (R.P.S.), Rishikesh, and a Punjabi folk dance by
Army School, Raiwala.
Our school, Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam
(OSN), presented a Rajasthani folk dance, which was a vibrant
performance and was applauded by one and all.
Our school bagged the 1st prize in the
competition and was presented with a trophy, certificate and a
cash award of Rs. 3100/-.
R.P.S. was declared as Runner-up and was
awarded with a cash price of Rs. 2100/-.
It was a tough competition, but our students
outdid everyone else with their excellent performance under the
guidance of our music teacher, Mrs. Sujata Banerjee.
