The Omkarananda Ashram Team on the way to the Function

Shri Harinam Sankirtan Mahakumbh, organised by Akhil Bharatiya Shri Radhamadhav Sankirtan Mandal, Rishikesh, conducted a programme from September 10th to 17th 2009 on the bank of Ganges at Triveni Ghat, Rishikesh. On 15th September 2009 the organisers had invited Swami Vishveshwarananda, President and Kumari Somashekhari, General Secretary, Omkarananda Ashram. Both were received with garlands by the organisers at the venue at around 10.30 am. Swamiji and Somashekhariji shared the dais with other dignitaries viz. Shri Brahmaswaroop Brahmachariji Maharaj, President, Shri Jayaram Ashram Annakshetra and Mahamandaleshwar Swami Hari'chetanandaji Maharaj.

Mr. Varshney briefly introduced Somashekhariji and Swami Vishveshwaranandaji to the audience. Later Kumari Somashekhariji enthralled the audience with her dance performance 'Shivanath Teri Mahima'. The audience responded with thunderous applause. Swami Vishveshwaranandaji spoke about Lord Krishna and Rasleela and urged all devotees to take spiritual advantage of this programme.
