Guru-Purnima Celebration
in Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas,
on 27th July 2018

The Altar of Sadgurudev Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati,
with His Photo and Silver-Padukas, is decorated nicely with fresh and
fragrant flower-malas for the special Worship on Guru-Purnima.

Assisted by Priests of Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda
and Kumari Somashekhari start the Puja for their Sadgurudev
Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati.

The Silver-Padukas of Gurudev are removed from the Altar and put in
a special Plate for Worship with Prayers and Flowers.

Abhisheka for the Padukas is done with cow's milk and other holy ingredients
by Swami Vishveshwarananda and Kumari Somashekhari.

Gangajal is poured through beautiful white Shankhas (conch shells)
on the holy Padukas of Gurudev Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati.

The Padukas are cleaned.

Before the Padukas of Gurudev are put back on their special Aasana on the Altar,
Swami Vishveshwarananda and Kumari Somashekhari are taking their Blessings,
while placing them on their heads.

The Padukas are worshipped with Kumkum, Chandan, etc.

A fragrant rose-mala was offered on the Padukas of Gurudev.

Intensive Meditation on Gurudev.

During recitation of the "Shri Sadguru Omkarananda-Ashtottara-Shata-Namavali"
(the 108 holy names of Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati)
rose-flower petals were offered to Gurudev.

Swami Vishveshwarananda and Kumari Somashekhari
perform the Omkarananda Arati for their Gurudev.

Arati for Gurudev by Swami Satchidananda.

Finally the Priest offered Arati and flowers from the Puja to each and everyone.
